MUNICIPAL COUNCIL.
Thursday, November 24, 1842 Council met. Present,
Mr. Hunter, mayor, in the chair. Messrs. Lyon, Scott, Dorset, Waitt, Jenkins, Guyton, Molesworth, Johnson. Minutes of last meeting read and considered. Letter from Mr. Brecs, read. Ordered to be entered.
Letter from Mr. Hanson, as agent. Mr. Waitt moved, and Dr. Dorset seconded — That the Town Clerk he directed to write to the Surveyor General at Auckland, requesting him to furnish the Town Council of Wellington an authenticated copy of the map, or plan, of the Town of Wellington, Signed by the Surveyor General of New Zealand, and deposited in his office at Auckland. Agreed to. Mr. Lyon moved—That the Council do adjourn until Thursday next, December Ist, at nine o’clock.
