Mr. W. C. Daldy.—We learn by a paper laid before the Council yesterday, that Mr. Daldy had resigned his appointment as Immigration Agent in England. The letter is dated London, January 16, 1865, and stated that Mr. Daldy only now awaits the appointment of a successor. It also appears from this correspondence that a stamp duty has now to be paid to the Home Government on all debentures issued since 1862 on the half million loan, this duty will amount to £325.
