Swaine and Co., of Hamburgh), at the Haymarket, on SATURDAY, the 27th September, at twelve o'clock, SEVEN PURE BR E D SAX 0N MERINO RAMS 2 pure bred SAXON MERINO EWES, 1 LAM B ; Being " shipment per " Arno," from Hamburg to London, and transhipped per " Blundell," to Auckland. These Sheep are selected from Pure SAXON ELECTORAL AND ESCURIAL NEGRETTI FLOCKS, noted for Wool of long, fine, close, and even staple, that have repeatedly had prizes awarded to them at the Agricultural Exhibitions of Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, Munich, and other places. They are descended from the celebrated Sheep of Rothtschonberg, the royal flock of Lohmen, and the flock of His Excellency, president of Crosigk—all of Saxony. The shippers are desirous to introduce to New Zealand (and of continuing to do so) the pure Saxon Merino, that tor thirty years past they have been sending to Australia and the Cape, so that Flockowners may observe the superiority of this breed of Sheep to "that of any other. As it is an established fact, known to all Wool dealers and manufacturers in Great Britain and elsewhere, that the Wool of first-class Saxon Flocks always realize higher prices than Wool from any Mecklenberg flock whatever. The Auctioneer" is authorised to state that the average weight of washed Wool shorn off the Flocks, from which the selections have been made, is four pounds for Ewes, and fully seven pounds for Rams, lie is also in possession of samples of the Wool of the animals, and will be glad to furnish intending purchasers with further particulars.
