RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 11th. Two drunkards were brought up charged with the above offence, and summarily dealt with. CLAIMS FOB DEBT. Trustees G. S. Graham p. Hanora Oakks.— This case was again adjourned till this day fortnight, in order to procure a necessary witness. Douglas v. Dove.—This was a suit to recover £9 3s. 7£d , amount due This case was reserved till next Court day for judgment. Deane v. Sayer.—llis worship declared judgment for plaintiff, 12s. Peter Grace v. Robert Alexander.—This was a claim for £1 10s. for work done. Judgment for defendant and costs.

Jacob Bryan r. LAWRENCE. —This was to recover £6, motley borrowed by defendant from plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiff. Bryan v. Franklyn.—This was also to recover £5 '.ls. (id , money owing, ludgmeut for plaintiff. Eade v. Shepherd.—This was to recover £1 10s , money due. Plaintiff was non-suited. Harper p. Lloyd and another. —This was a suit to recover £4 7d. Judgment for plaintiff.

Harper v. Ryan.—Claim for £ll 4s. 3d. Judgment for plaintiff. Young v. Cundell. —This was a claim for £7, the value of it harrow detained by defeudant. Judgment for plaintiff, £7, unless the harrow was returned in one month.

In the cases of Parr v. McLivcr, Hancock v. Westtake, and Watt v. Syms, there was no appearance. The cases of Spencer v. McGuire, Swanson v Dtinning, Quartier v. Yickers, Mears v. Brady, Pollock v. Barry, Drury v. Fagg, and Posseneskie v. Robson, were settled, and otherwise disposed of.
