HAGUE SMITH. For Lease, for a term of Ten Years, 1 &J_Q ACRES OF LAND, situated 12 miles 1 OttO from Auckland, on the Great South Road. Tenders will be received by Wood & Baber, Wyndham-street, Auckland, for a Ten Years' Lease of the above Property, on or before noon of the Ist day of November, 1862, subject to the approval of the Proprietor, C. W. Ligak, Esq. This Property is well worthy of the attention of intending Agriculturists, or of those who intend to engage in Sheep Farming. A navigable branch of the Manukau Harbour bounds it on the West, while the Eastern extremity is crowned by a beautiful wooded eminence; nine-tenths of the whole consist of level open fern plains, well watered by numerous streams and springs. Thee is situated on it the best Freestone Quarry in the Colony, near which there is a very abundant water power for a mill or for machinery for dressing the stone. About 150 acres have been fenced, and laid down to English grasses. There arc two Homesteads upon the Property, one upon each side of the Great South Road, and Tenderer will have the option of offering for the whole or for either of the portions lying East or West of the South Road. There is every probability of a Coal Field underlying the beds of Freestone; and, as the Property is at present intersected by the Great South Road, and will be traversed near the Quarry by the proposed Railway, there is every facility for transit and communication with Auckland both present and prospective.
