CONNELL & RIDINGS Arc instructed to announce that, at an early date, they will Sell by Auction, The important Township of " KINGSTONE," IN COROMANDEL HARBOUR. THIS Township, covering about One Hundred Acres and divided into about One Thousand Allotments, forms a portion of the Estate of the Rev. J. Preece. It is situated at the western end of the Promontory known as " Precce's Point," the only place on the west side of the harbour where boats can land at low water. A Custom House will in all probability be built at this place, which, from its commanding position, is particularly suitable for the purpose. Large vessels can anchor within a short distance of the shore. The site of the Township is on a beautiful level plain extending from the beach, and is midway between the Kapanga and the Waiau Diggings, with both of which it is connected by a Government Road, Rich Auriferons Quartz has been discovered on the promontory adjoining the township. Several claims have been taken up, and machinery for crushing has been ordered by the shareholders of one of them. The importance of the Coromandel District can scarcely be over estimated. The fact of its being an extensive gold region is established, and it is confidently expected that a few months, perhaps weeks, will develope results which will place it amongst the most permanently productive of any of the Gold Fields yet discovered. KINGSTONE, from its central position and its facility of approach, the mineral wealth, extensive forests, and productive soil in its neighbourhood, its magnificent scenery and its spacious and sheltered harbour, offers attraction and Advantages for a new settlement which cannot fail to raise it rapidly to a Town of importance. 6gjf Plans will be published with as little delay as possible.
