There has been little beyond the usual quiet business transacted during the past week. The only foreign arrivals have been the Eugene from the Mauritius with sugar to a well stocked market : and the Lord Ashley from Sydney with the London mail and a general cargo of merchandize. There have been no departures. From the coast, the following supplies have been received 834 bushels wheat, 40 bushels maize, 28 cwt. salt pork, 7 cwt. bacon, 5 cwt. bones, 7 tons gum, 142 lbs. butler, 560 lbs. cheese, 60 dozen smoked fish, 117 dozen eggs, 150 kits kumcras, 8 pigs 23 head cattle, 1 boat, 90 tons firewood, (WOO shingles, 10 000 feet sawn timber.
The amount of Customs Revenue received during the week ended the 16th instant, amounted to £1284 7-3. The weather has been more moderate during the past week; less rain has fallen, the temperature genial, with a good deal of drying winds and sunshine. The intelligence from Coromandel continues to grow more and more satisfactory ; the finds arc becoming larger and richer, and the prospects for the spring and summer most encouraging.

Business has been exceedingly dull during the week, and the transactions in most articles, wiih the exception of teas and sugars, have been so small that there is scarcely any alteration to report. The news by the mail steamer Northam, contained in our telegrams, has not yet affected prices, but no doubt, when letters come to hand, there will be some stir in articles of dally consumption, which for the present can only be nominally quoted. We subjoin the latest report of out markets Flour.—The market is steady and without any alteration; the sales have only been limited, and not sufficient to test the market. Adelaide is quoted at £l4 10s to £ls 10s per ton : the millers’ quotations continue at £l4 per ton for fine flour. Wheal 5s 9d to (is 3d per bushel. Liquids.—Ale in bulk is pretty firm; first brands are worth from £‘B to £8 5s per hogshead. Porter in bulk is rather more enquired for, and Taylor’s is quoted at £6 15s to £7 ss. Bottled ale and porter are in moderate demand at from 9s 6d to 10s Cd. Brandy is hardly so firm. Kartell's it quoted at 12s 9d to 13s ; Heunessy’s, 12s (id, and at this price sales have been made. Hum is very dull, and has given way Id to 2d per gallon ;30 o.p. Is quoted at 3t (Id to 3s fid; 10 o.p„ is very dilfi. cult of sales and prices quite nominal. Geneva is also lower in consequence of late arrivals. JDKZ and key brands are worth from 13s to 14s. Whiskey is steady and worth 5s fid. In wines a large sale was held at auction on Wedneaday. Sherries brouglu 5s ?d to 12s; port, 7s 9d to 12s. Teas are firm. Good congous range from £fi to £9 per chest. A few fine leas are. however, held for £lO per chest. Green teas are scarce, and command full rates.
Sugars are iu rather better demand. At auction, the cargo of Java sugars ex Mary Agnes were sold at the following rates;— Light counters, £34 17* fid. to £3B; yellow, £33 10s to £34 Ji.: dark, £3l ss. Coffee is not so firm, owing to shipment being shortly expected to arrive. Manila is quoted at BJd to 9d per lb. in bond. Candles are very dull of sale. Belmonts amt nevas are nominally quoted at lid.
Itice is firm, and Patna commands from £25 10s to £2fi per ton ; .lava rice was sold at auction at £ltt 10s to £l9 5« per ton. Salt is dull. Liverpool, £4 to £4 6s per ton. Fine salt is without any alteration, flock salt is lower. A sale of 80 tons, to be delivered at me ship’s side and all expenses paid by the buyer, has been made at £3 10s per ton. Sales of small lots have also been made at £4 per ton.

To Adelaide, there have been four clearances, and one to Wallaroo Bay, the aggreeate on™, amounting to £102,293. ** At the annual meeting of the South Australian Banking Com. pany, 10 per cent, dividend was declaied; on the Chartered Bank of Australia, 4 percent. The South Australian Laud Company also recommended 1 dividend at the rate of 7 per cent, per annum. The P. and O Company declared three and a-half per cent, for the half-year. The Peninsular line is to be abandoned, u it is found unremunerative. The profits on the Great Eastern's voyage to New York wu £11,102. WOOL REPORT. The sales closed with animation. Sydney’s latterly takes with indifference, and during the last three or four days an sd. dilional decline was established.
