LOT I. All that Properly in Shortland-street known as Mr. Hughes's GROCERY STORE, with the GOOD-WILL of Hie Business. Bounded on the North by Shortland-slreet 5-2 feet, on the East by Allotment No. 8, 140 feet, on the South by the second lot in this catalogue 30 feet, and on ihe West by Thompson's Lane, leading to Chancerystreet, 140 feet. The BUILDING (erected on a substantial scoria foundation) comprises a large SHOP, covering the entire frontage, a Hack Parlour and Breakfast-room, with three Bed-rooms on the first door; a Drawing-room on the second floor, 20 feet by 12 feet, and two Side Rooms. There are few, who have been any time in Now Zealand, to whom this properly is not known, actually or by representation; no description, therefore, which Mr. Hansard can pen would be so likely to lead them to immediate attention to this Sale, as their conviction of their own interests will undoubtedly do. He therefore confines himself to this short summary. There is a frontage of about a mile to this splendid River, in which a vessel of any size can lie opposite to the property. The quantity of the land is 2500 acres, various portions of which have, at a former lime, been cleared. The land is all of the finest description, a [great proportion being available agricultural land. Timber of all descriptions, especially that most suitable for ship-building purposes, abounds.
