His Excellency Sib George Grey and •Lady Grey, and the 1 Bishop of New Zealand, are to sail this lay in the Commodore for England. We n 3ed not say that countless good wishes will accompany them, and very many heartfelt prayers be offered up for their safety on the voyage and their happy arrival at its destined end. His Excellency tie Governor will hold an undress Levee at the Council Chamber, at half past ten o'clock this morning. We believe it is arranged that immediately after the Levee, His Excellency will proceed on board me Commodore. We cannot doubt that ntmbers will avail themselves of the opportunity afforded this morning of bidding adieu to a Governor whose name will bfe so signally identified in history—first with the establishment of peaae in New Zealknd, and then with the advancement of the colony privileges, the social.; improvements, the re./inntvKMa. Vno price of land, the elevation of the Native raceji and the other benefits and blessings whica have been conferred on Ljbliis country under Sir George Grey's preeminently "able, wjse, and successful administration."
