Saturday, 1 9cb November. An unusual pressure on our space induces us to omit this week our detailed price current ; but this is of little consequence, as, except in one or two articles, tin re is no material change in prices since last week. We subjoin a few ren; irks on those articles in regard to which any movement is perceptible. Beeh.— Burton ale in wood is enquired for at last week’s quotations. 8/. to 9/. Fiiiiir. - American dried apples have rather declined. The price of currants on the other band, has improved. Ibe former are quoted at 7d., and the Liter from Is. 2d. to Is. oil. ptr lb. Grain and Flour. — The best Adelaide flour is fi-m at 33.'. and some small parcels have be n sold at 34/. i he late advices from Europe have rather improved the tone of the market. Ironmongery. — Picks. Simmon’s, small size, are now worth 70s. to B:t.s.; blue tacks, sd. Oils.— Boiled linseed scarce at 7s. 6d. Provisions. — Cheese, English and Dutch, has raTier declined, 'ibe former is worth Is. to Is. 2d, the latter Bd, per lb. Salad oil is very scarce. Salt. Liverpool is still scarce. It is quo'ed at SI, to 10L Spices.-— Black pepper Las declined. It is quoted at 2d. to 3d. Sundries, — Blacking, assorted sizes, 6s. 12s. to 18s. per dozen ; blast gunpowder, Bd. to lOd. per lb. j tar Stockholm, 355. to 40s. per lb. ; turpentine 6s. to. 6s. (id. per gallon. All these articles, except tar have deck tied. Tea,— Tilts article, which in first hands has for some time been scarce, lias in consequence of tecent news, risen materially. The price of congou i< 7/. 10s. and oi hysonskin 6/. both vety firm. We give elsewl ere particulars ns to the markets of China and exports of this article. Everything depends on the progress of the insurrection. It seems now to be the universal opinion that nothing tan save the present dynasty. The merchants in the, va'ious ports have considerable confidence in the maintenance of order, and security for persons and property, hut trade bad been suspended at all the five ports except Canton, and it was expected that Canton would speedly share the fate of the others. Timber. — Deals have declined ; red are quoted 11x3 at la. 6d.; 9x 3, Is. 2d. per foot. Tobacco. No. 2 Manila cigars, are wanted. From Bombay there is information of high pr.ces for this article. Boats and Shoes.—Prices have lately improved, and suitable assortments are saleable. Drapery.— For linen goods there is no demand. In other articles there is no change. We s ould remark Id tv- ver that people lay rather too much sties* on the large shipments reported, The information, i slioul i be observed, comes much quicker than the goods themselves. The Shipum is now advised will not ail reach their destination for at least a couple of months. It is all known that very gloomy advices w ere sent from Melbourne several months ago, and even by last accounts the impression was becoming general that the trade had been overdone. Lighterage. —Toe rates have fallen ; the contracts are now takrti at 15s. to 2ds. per ton.— -Argus. Noe. 21.
