Mechanics’ Institute.— lt will be seen by our advertising columns that a Lecture on Fejee and Fojeeans will be delivered in the Hall of the Institute on Monday evening, by the Rev. Mr. Williams. As the Reverend Lecturer resided for a number of years in Fejee, we may anticipate from him an amount of information which will have the value of especial trustworthiness as being founded upon his personal knowledge of the place and the people. Musical Entertainment.— On Wednesday evening, the Entertainment of Vocal and Instrumental Music, as advertised, was given in the Odd Fellows’ Hall, by Mr. Buckingham’s family. The juvenile performers, assisted by their Father, went through the various pieces promised in the programme with an amount of ability, of which wc have only to say that it evidently gave general satisfaction to a numerous and respectable audience.
