The Man - of Destiny.— Among Ihe numerous “ invasion” anecdotes over which the gossips of London are shuddering just now we find the following :—“ When Louis Napoleon resided in England, previous to Louis Phillipe’s deposition, he was walking one day in Trafalgarsquare, with Sir Richard Acton, lie stopped, looked round, and said, with a sigh, ‘it grieves '•me to think that it is my destiny to destroy all place. lam fond of the English, and have much cause to be grateful to them, and I will do it with as little bloodshed as possible.’ He added, ‘ I shall be killed by a musket-ball in • the streets of London.' ”
