Fat Steeds and Heifers sold readily at full prices. Lean stock not in great demand, feed being scarce. At Newr market monthly sale last week, Mr. Newman bad a larger number of cattle for sale than usual, which found buyers at lata prices, (£6 to £8) but the den a id was not so brisk. 230 Ewes ex Moa , sold for 16s. each.
