HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to direct and appoint that at the forthcoming Elections under “ The New Zealand Constitution Act,” there shall be additional Polling Places in the undermentioned Districts, viz. ; PENSIONERS SETTLEMENTS AND SOUTHERN DIVISION. Howick —At the Police Office Howick. Otahuhu —At such convenient place in the Village as shall be specified by the Returning Officer. Panmure —At such convenient place in the Village as shall be specified by the Returning Officer. SOUTHERN DIVISION. Thames, Kikowakarerk, Coromandel, Waihau, Waiheki, — The Gold Commissioners House, Coromandel Harbour. VVaipa, Waikato River, Rangiawhia,— At Manuka’s Wooden House, in the Village of Rangiawhia. By His Excellency’s command, Andrew Sinclair, Colonial Secretary. N OTIC E. Colonial Secretary’s Office, Auckland, 30th May, 1853. IN reference to the Notice in the Governmeat Gazette, dated the 17th inst., stating that there was a sum of money available for Emigration purposes, connected with the Province of Auckland, it is notified for general information that His Excellency has been pleased to approve of the following form of Bond, to be entered into by persons making application to have their friends or relations provided with passages to this country by the Government. By Him Excellency’s command, Andrew Sinclair, Colonial Secretary. Know All Men by these Presents that We of and of &c .f are held and firmly bound unto of in the sum of pounds, for which payment well and truly to be made to the said We do and each of us doth bind ourselves and each of us and the heirs, executors, and administrators of us and of each of us jointly and severally by these Presents. Whereas liy a Proclamaton bearing dale the 4lh day of March, 1853, and made by and in the name of His Excellency Sir George Grey, K. C, 8., Governor and Com-tnander-in-Chitf in and over the Islands of New Zealand, certain Regulations were made and established for the Sale and Disposal of the Waste Lands oi the Crown in New Zealand. And it was amongst other things provided that the funds arising from the Sale of such Lands, should be devoted in part to bringing out to New Zealand the friends and relations of ‘those persons who may undertake to defray within twelve months after the arrival in the Colony of the Immigrants so brought out, one-half of the cost of their passage to this country according to jhe following scale, viz,;— hath undertaken to defray onehalf of the cost of the passage of of in the County of for Adults on the terms and conditions in the said Regulations mentioned.
