The inscription is as follows : “La Corvette Francaise L'Alcmene Naufragee le 3 Jain, 1352, cn Zealand. Souvenir dn Commandant D’llarcourt et des Officuers <ie La Corvette, an Colonel Wynyard et aux (Meiers du s&eme Regiment de L’Armee Anglaise. Ihc picture, which is hy a Fpencil pointer, possesses considerable merit as a work of nil, anu in iis richly ornamented frame presents an object Well worth inspection. We understand laat, with a view of gratifying those who may wish iO see if, it will bo placed for a fortnight in the large room of the Masonic Hotel, where it will be open to public inspection.
