As both parties had the opportunity, in our last, of bringing forward their respective versions at such length as they thought necessary, and as the matter in its present position is really rather of private and personal than of public interest, we must decline opening our columns to further correspondence on a subject on which the difference of statement may* we Lave no doubt ? be traced to a defect of memory on one side or the other.
