The Auckland Gold Field.—Some of the most attractive specimens of New Zealand Gold which have hitherto come under our observation, are at present to be seen at Mr. Hansard's office. They are from the Waiau diggings, from which Mr. Hansard has received, since his last report appeared in our columns, about forty ounces of gold quartz, with a quantity of richly auriferous sand. . . We understand that a party of experienced Californian diggers, arrived in our port by the William, have gone to Coromandel in the Ban Accord on a prospecting expedition. The result of their visit will be looked for with some interest. Tnrc Band of the 58th Regiment will perform the following pieces of Music, in the Government Lawn, to-morrow (Thursday ) afternoon, from three to five. PROGRAMME— Overture Op «« Massaniello" Auber. Melange Op " The Maid of Honor" Balfe. Duetto Op " Norma" Bellini. Aria Op * La Donna del Lago" Rossini. Waltz "The Coronation" Labitzky. Quadrille " Les Martyrs" Musard. Polka "The Row" Jullien. Galop " Schlittent" Kuhner.
