The New-Zealander.
AUCKLAND, SATURDAY, FEB. 12, 1853.
Be just and fear not: Let all the ends thou aim’st at, be thy Country’s, Thy God’s, and Truth’s.
An almost voluminous Government Gazette was published yesterday evening. Its contents include the Proclamation of the New Constitution Act, (which we copied in our lasi from the New Munster Gazette) ; —the Act itself in its completeness ; —Sir John Pakingtons Despatch to Governor Sir George Grey on transmitting an ollicial copy of the Act (which also appeared in extenso in our paper of Wednesday) ; extracts from other Despatches referred to in this; a Proclamation by the Governor-in-Chief establishing Amended Postal Regulations; and various Returns, amongst which are the Revenue Returns for the Province of New Ulster for the last December quarter ; a Statement of the Liabilities, Assets, and Expense of the Colonial Bank of Issue at Auckland, and the Financial Statements of the Auckland Savings Bank for the year 1852. In order to place in the hands of our readers at once such of these important documents as
>ve have not already inserted—especially the Constitution Act in full, as it received the Royal Assent,— wo this day publish a Supplement.
