There has been a much larger supply of vegetables in our market this week, and prices have fallen slightly. Cabbages, 20s. per dozen; cauliflowers, 20s. ditto; turnips, 6s. ditto; carrots, 6s. ditto; parsnips, 6s. ditto; asparagus. Is. per bundle; spinage. Is. ditto; sea kale, Is. ditto; new potatoes, 6d. per lb.; old ditto, 175.-per C wt.; lettuces, 6a. per dozen; plums, 3s. per lb.; French beans, Is. per lb.; pears, 6s. per dozen; gooseberries, 2s. per quart; cherries, 4s. 6d. per lb.; green peas, lOd. per quart; butter, Ss. per lb.; eggs, 6s. per dozen ; geese, 20s. each ; turkeys, 20s. each; ducks, 16s. per pair ; and fowls, 16s. ditto, Price of Flour. Hay Market. About 240 loads have reached town during the week, being a much larger quantity than reported last week. The price has ranged from 21/. to 24/. per ton for the week. Yesterday early in the day, good samples realised 23/., but gradually declined to 21 per ton. A larger quantity of green stuff has been offered than last week at about 8/ per ton, and at 6«. per dozen bundles. Provisions.— Cheese, English Is. 2d. to Is. 6d.; Dutch, lb. Is.; American, lb. Barker and Co.’s Mills, January 28: No alteration is quoted this week iu the price of flour, which continues at £2l per ton fine, and A‘lß seconds; bran Is, 9d. to 2s. per bushel.—Sydney Flour Mills, January 28: Small parcels of wheat are now gradually beginning to find tbeir way to market, and readily purchased at 7s. 6d. to Bd. per bushel. Flour is still being sold at .€2l per ton fine, and €l9 seconds ; bran la. 9d. and 2s. per bushel.—Victoria Mills, January 28 : The transactions in wheat this week have been limited, and prices are nominal; flour fans been in demand at previous rates, viz, £2l for fine, and £lB for seconds per 2000 lbs.; bran is without alteration. Bread.—6d. the 2lb. loaf. Biscuit.— T. Barker and Co.’a cabin, 30s. seconds, 245. per cwt. Wilkie’s cabin, 305.; pilot, 27s ; ship, 245. per cwt,; meat buiscuit, 20s. per cauuister of SOlbs. SETTLERS WHOLESALE PRICE CURRENT, Wheat—Best samples readily command Bs. to Bs. 6J. per bu-hel. Flour—Fine is still quoted at 21/. per ton, and 18/. for seconds, but tliere is a reluctai.ce on the part of holders to sell at these rates. Ma^ze—Best samples are worth about ss. per bushel. Barley, English—None offering. Ditto, Cape—ls worth from 2s. 6d. to 3s. per bushel. Hay—Varies from £9 to <£l2 IDs. per ton. Butter is worth Bd. to lOd per lb. Bacon—Best samples are worth about 9d. ; ordinary, 6d, to Bd. per lb. Cheese—ls worth (id. to Bd. Eggs—ln demand at lod. to lOd. per dozen. Fat Pigs—ln demand, at advancing rates. Fat Calves— Scarce. Fat Sheep—Ready sale at an advance on last quotations. Fat Bullocks—Brisk demand and prices generally looking up Tallow—Fit for shipment saleable at last week’s rates.
