Another addition to the wbajing-vessels now in port was made on Saturday last by the arrival of the Bremen whale-ship Hepublik, Captain Austin, from the Arctic Ocean, via Honolulu and the Navigators’ Islands. This fine vessel, formerly the Frangois Ist (not Philip the First as has been erroneously published) was built for and employed as one of the New York and Havre liners, for several years, after which she becarile the property of Bremen merchants, who have for some time employed her as a whaler, under the Bremen flag. A finer vessel we have seldom seen entering the harbour, and as she worked up to her moorings on Saturday she excited the universal commendations of oUr nautical connoisseurs. She is .now fifteen months out, and has on board a lairge quantity ot black and sixty barrels of sperm oil—the latter caught since leaving the Navigators’ Islands. 'We regret to learn that since her arrival here a very reckless and mutinous disposition has been shown by a portion of her crew (who are chiefly Germans) which at one time assumed quite a serious aspect. The case is, we understand, now being investigated by the authorities. Vessels in Harbour. Edward, ship, American whaler, 339 tons, Captain Mosher, arrived from whaling grounds.
