The schooner Eclair ai rived at Wellington on the 58th August, from New Plymouth, and sailed again from Port Nicholson on the evening of the 6th instuvt, but, owing to contrary winds, was unable to touch at New Plymouth cm her way hither. The Government hug Victora, bound for Nelson, with the Govornor-m-Chief on bo.ird, loft Wellington on the same evening as the hclair. The barque Gw.»hor arrived on the 28th nit., and was adveitised for freight or chaiter. The William Alfred, schooner, fiom Sydney, and the schooner Munford, from Hobart Town, had at rived at Wellington. The schooner Lucy Jamrs, Jo\ce, sailed on the HOih ult., for Poit Phillip. The barque Tory, and schooner Will o' the Wisp, bad anived from Lyttelton, with, njiwavds of one bundled passengers, on i heir w»y to Port Phillip. The Will o' the Wi«p had proceeded on her voyage, and the Tory, and bngantine Perseveiancf, werp speedily to follow for Melbourne. By the Napi, from llu^sell, we learn that the American ship Phtcnix, Captain Winslow, aruvpd at the Bay of Islands on the 6th instant, 46 mouths out, with 1000 bis. speim, and 10 lbs. black.
