HIGHLY IMPORTANT NEWS FROM BUENOS AYRES.
(From the " Valparaiio Reporter" of March 0.) Bloody Battle ! — Four thousand killed ! / — Defeat and fight of Rosas {•"End of the War I — Proclamation of Amnesty ! By letters from San Juan of the 28th ult., we bare important and decisive news from Buenos Ayres. Oa the 3rd Febuary, the long expected engagement between the two armies of Rosas and Urquiza took place at Santos Legares, Rosas' encampment. The battle lasted six hours, and about 4000 men were left on the field. ( The day was decided by Pacbeco, one of Rosa» r Generals, who commanded 7000 men, going over to Urquiza. Thia causing great confusion in the ranks of Rosas' army, of which Urquizt availed himself, Rosas has disappeared— some say that he hat embarked on board of a British man-of-war, others that h» is still hiding in Buenos Ayres. Pacheco has been named Governor of the Prorinc*, and Urquiza has entered Buenos Ayres. The Argentine tyrant has lost his power, and tha friends of liberty may rejoice in bis fall, • One of Urquiza 's proclamation to the inhabittnts of Buenos Ayres has also been leceived. He promises a general amnesty j but excepts from it all those who, after signing the Convention of the 7th of October, in Uruguary passed over to swell the enemy's ranks. Also the traitors of Santa Fe, who on the field of battle went over to Rosas tfter murdering Colonel Pedro Aquino, their commanding #3w«r.
