REVISION OF THE BURGESS ROLL FOR THE BOROUGH OF AUCKLAND.

The adjourned meeting of Justices of the Peace was held yesterday at the llesidenfc Magistrates Courf. The only Justices present were Thomas Beckliam, Esq, (Resident Magistrate) and Alderman O'Neill. A r o objections were offered to any of the names placed by the Police on the Lists. The following additions were applied for, and in every case granted: —

Middle Town Ward : — Biyan Ward, Robert Skecne, James Foster, (a policeman, the omission of whose name it was remarked proved that there was partiality in making out the Lists),} John Watson, T. J. Jaggei, John M'Leod, P. Levy, William M'Donald, T. A. Johnson, Stephen E. Hughes, George M'Kinley, Charles W. Brown. Wm Town- Ward . — J. C. Gerard, Archibald Wilson, Daniel Mill?, James London, Joseph Midhurst, Robert M'Kec, George Reynolds, Will'ain White.

Suuußiuy EAvST Ward : — John Redmond. Suiiuitiuiv South Ward : — Daniel Addis. Sl'huuban West Ward: — John Robertson, James M'Leod. Epsom West Ward : — Josopli Crisp. There were no applications from the other Wards. The following arc the numbers of the Burgesses now finally placed on the 8011, and therefore constituting the complete Municipal elective body for the ensuing year: — East Town Ward, 64 ; Middle Town, 133 ; West Town, 217; Suburban East, 58; Suburban South, 32; Suburban West, 1(5; Onehunga, 184; Panmnre, 76; Otfthnhu, G6; Howick, 141; Epsom East, 20; Epsom West, G8 ; Tamald, West, 40 ; Tamaki Ease, 23. Total in the Boiough, 1138. Last year the Total number on the Koll was 1425.

Coroner's Inquest. — An inquest was held before Dr. Dalies, Coroner, at Ihe "Prince of Wales," Ilobson-strcet, cm Thursday last, on the body of Martin Read, an industrious labourer residing in Cook-street, who had died almost suddenly on the preceding evening. It appeared from the evidence of Drs. Philsou and Matthews Hi at death bad boon caused b\ the rupture of a blood vessel ncai the heart. Verdict accordingly. Tenders. — In the Government Guzettc of Wednesday tenders are invited for the supply of Spars, of specified dimensions, for Her Majesty's Naval Service, to be received until Saturday the 14th of August ; and for articles for tho use of the Colonial Hospital, to be received until noon on Thursday next, the 22nd instant.
