14th May, 1852. rTIENDERS will be received at tlvs office JL until noon of Thursday, the 3rd of June next, from persons willing to supply this Department, at Auckland, from Ist July, 1852, to 31st of March, 1853, with the following articles, viz. : — Bread, at per ft). Firewood, at per lOOlbs. The conditions of the Contract or Contracts for these articles will be in all respects the same as those specified in the Commissariat Advertisement for Annual Contracts, dated 20th January. 1852, and published in the New Zeulander Newspaper. REWARD FOR THE DISCOVERY OF GOLD.
A SUM of MONEY having been *^ subscribed by Inhabitants of Auckland for the purpose of remunerating the first person who may make known the existence of a Gold Field in this Province, a REWARD OF £150
is hereby offered to any person who may satisfy a Committee appointed by the Subscribers, that Gold, of natural deposit in New Zealand soil, has been discovered within a
radius of fifty miles of Auckland. Applications for the above reward made at the offices of the " New Zealander" or " Southern Cross," will be communicated to the Subscribers. Auckland, May 4, 1852.
