The schooner Eclair, Captain Rigby, which sailed hence for Port Phillip on the 6th iribtant, returned to port on Wednesday last. She encountered very heavy weather, shipping seas incessantly, and lost her jibbooia, muin»ail, &c. The weather continued so bad that it was thought piudent, rather than attempt to continue the voyage, to be«ir up for Auckland. Her cargo is to be tianshipncd to the Glencoe, laid on for Melbourne, and 6he is to' proceed to Taianwki and Wellington. The Government bug Victoria will sail for Wellington on Monday next. We have seen a valuable Telescope, which Lieutenant-Goveinor Wynyard, has, in the kindest manner, presented to Captain Deck, of the Government Bug, since His Excellency's late tour by that vessel. This gratifying token of approbation beais an appropriate inscnpiion, with His Excellency's cre3t, handsomely engraved by Mr. Watt. The schooner Zillah, Captain Wing, has now got all her rigging set up, and is also taking in cargo for Melbourne, for which poit she will sail shortly alter the Glencoo,
