By the Moa, which sailed from Sydney on the Ist instant, w-e learn that the brig Nina, Captain Phillips, was to sail in a few days after the Moa for this poit duect, with a cargo of sheep, and may now daily be looked | for. The long continuance of light and southerly winds in the Gulf is no doubt the cause of detention to both this vessel, and the Gwalior from London, also to seveial of our coasters considerably overdue. The Nina has been chartered to convey » cargo of oil, wool, and flax to London; and as she will sril within a month after her ariival, wili present another favourable opportunity of forwarding letters to England. The Daniel Webhter, Captain Jones, was to «ail for Auckland about ten days after the Moa left, but the difficulty in procuring crews in Sydney was so great, that much uncertainty prevailed as to the departure of any vessel from that poit, The Napi anived from Russell on Friday night last, having been nine days on her passage, owing to contiary winds. In our report of tbe Bay of Islands shipping in our paper of the 31bt"ult~flle~~arri Iv'sr'bf~tlier1 v'sr'bf~tlier Lord Nelson, whaler, Captam Dubson, of London, from i the Auckland Islands is announced. We are requested to state that she put in at the Bay in consequence of the Captain having been taken dangerously ill at spa, and not able to prosecute the voyage. The vessel has since proceeded to sea under the command of the chief officer with instmctions to return to Russell at a stated period fur the Captain, who, by the last account, is rapidly improving in health. By advices received from Hokianga, we learn of the arrival there of the William Hyde, Captain Apple* whaite, on the 18th ult., and that on the sth inst. she was half loaded. She may therefore be shortly expected l\eve, before taking her departure for England direct, for which place she will sail shortly after her arrival in this port, ! The destination of the barque Clarinda, which sailed hence for Hokianga to load a cargo of timber for Adelaide, has been altered for Valparaiso, for which Port she sailed on the 4th mst., from HoKianga. The General Worth will sail for Melbourne this day. We are requested to say that the passengers will be required to be on boaid by twelve o'clock. In addition to Mr. Rowe, the owner of this vessel, and his equestrian troupe, the following pasfaengers are about to proceed in her to Poit Phillip: — Mr. and Mrs. OBrien, and four children, Mr. and Mis. Hales, and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Byland, Mr. R. Robertson, Messrs. J. Long, M'Mean, William Hill, 1 homas Gray, Henry Nelson, Win. M'Donald, Wm.
