Hearney, and 4 maories. Tbe Zillali, a beautiful new schooner, lately launched , at Coromandel Harbour, arrived on Thursday morning ' last, and now forms another valuable addition to our ' Auckland registered list of home-built vessels. She was built by Mr. Menzies, of Coromandel, ior Mr. Thomas Hunter. Her new measurement burthen is about 75 tons ; her dimensions — length of keel 57 feet; breadth of beam 18 feet 6 inches ; depth of hold 10 feet ; length on deck 70 feet. Her timbers, pl-inking, &c, as well as her masts and spars have been contributed by the district in which she was built — so richly abounding in shipbuilding timber of tbe best descrip- \ tion — the whole having been selected, hewn, and prepared with an eye to the strength and symmetry of her dimensions. We believe that vessels of her tonnage and build would be highly piized in the incieasmg coasting trade of the sister colonies, and with the magnificent facilities for shipbuilding that this neigbbou rbood affords, a class of our colonists could not be more beneficially or profitably engaged than in tbe construction of vessels to supply the growing wants of our neighbours in Austialia. We wish ibe Zillab many a prosperous voyage. The Antelope, which arrived on Thursday, fell in with tbe Cice y on the East Coast, from Canterbury. The Cicely 'B Lyttelton mail has been brought on to Auckland by the Antelope, while the former remained trading on the coast. The Cicely arrived at Lyttelton, from New Plymouth, on the 24th Feb. The brigantine Munfoid arrived from Ilobart Town on the 23rd ; the schooners Henry, and Wellington, from Wellington, and the Catherine Johnstone, from Akaroa, on the 26th. On the 18th of February tbe brigantine Pauline (formerly of this port) sailed fur Sydney ; and on the 24th tbe schooner Marmora, for Wellington. Tbe General Worth bas been beached in Official Bay to have her bottom examined. She was advertised in the middle of the week, by handbill, for Melbourne, but has been since taken off that beith. Tbe Raven came up from Kawau yesterday, and is advertised to sail for Sydney on Wednesday. The Mavkin's Wreck. — We are glad to learn that, contrary to first reports, a considerable quamity of the stores, gear, rigging, &c, have been rescjed from the wreck of the Maukin, and it was hoped that the crew, who were remaining in the neighbourhood until a vessel arrived to remove them, might be able to save further portions of the property.
