Fine Clear Cloudy Clcai with Showery Wet days. d,i),. high vinds. days d.ivs 11 2 1 14. 3 There was mucli thundoron three days of this month ; and on another day distant thunder vviis head. ltissomewh.it lemarkable that in ouch of the last throe years the weather in the months of December and in the month of January immediately following has been almost identical, the number of dry days being 1 the same, whilu as compnred with thp same months in the precpdniff year, the weather has legulatly detencafed. Thus in December 1849 and January 18'5o\ respectively, there were 23 dry d,i>s, inD«cpiiiber 18.)0 ami Jami.uy 1851, respectively, there were '20 dry d.iys, and in last .December and January there were just 14 dry days in each. From the record of the weather prepared bv Captain Rough and my own observations it appears that since Auckland was founded there has been no such continuanop of bad weather at this season as wo have bad during 'be last three months, except in November 18<1.3, and the two following 1 months. During those three months tho weather appeals to have been much the same with that of (he last three months. As the weather in February and March 1816 was very fine, we may now hope for an improvement. Tempoalnie hi Jtinuary 1852. —T?efore sunrise, greatest height of tho theiruoineter 68 q lowest 52°.
