Contents :— The Phases of the Moon ; the Calendar ; a Tide Table, shewing the times of daily High Water at Auckland ; the Risings and Settings of the Sun and Moon ; the Solar and Lunar Eclipses, and a Periodical Table of the Equation of Time. This kind of Table is an indispensible accompaniment to a sun dial, or for mean time in observed altitudes of the Sun, Moon, or Stars ; the Tide Table may be applied as a general Tide Table of New Zealand, i. c., to ascertain the Time of High Water, on any day, at any place, where the Time of High Water at full and change, is known.
%xf In coming before the Public, a compiler of an Almanack, T. F. begs leave to advance, as the apology, that this pait of New Zealand has not, as yet, been furnished with a passable one. This assertion cannot be controverted, hence, here has long existed an open field for an introduction of a relevant improvement, and he trusts it well be acceded that he has not failed in " The New Zealand Metropolitan Almanack," to advance the required object 19th November, 1851.
A SINGLE GENTLEMAN can be accommodated with Board and Lodging. Apply at the "New Zealand^" Office.
