PUBLIC MEETING OF THE WEST TOWN WARD BURGESSES.
IN accordance with regulations of the Election Committee — a numerous and respectably conducted meeting was held in the large room of the White Hart Hotel, on Wednesday evening, October '22nd, when Mr. Bain was agoin called upon to preside. The minutes of previous meetings and committees were read, the questions which appeared in the local papers were put and answered satisfactorily by the three parties who were put in nomination, and at the conclusion this resolution was passed :—": — " That the various candidates (Dr. Lee, Dr. B«nnett, and Mr, P. Dignan) have given ptoper answers to all questions of the committee and this meeting, and are therefore fit and proper persons to go to the election ; leaving the Burgesses of the West Ward at liberty to vote for either one of the three, or any other candidate that may be brought forwaid."'
