Tho fine merchant ship Cashmore, Captain Pearson, sailed fiom Gravesend on the 16th of' June, having thus been 125 days on the voyage. From hei known sailing qualities it is believed that she would have mude it in a much shorter time, but for somo defect in her rudder irons which kept her back considerably. She brings on t one hundred and three passengers, a large proportion of whom are for this settlement. At Bass's Straits she was hoarded by a shore-boat, from which she first heard of the dincoveiy of Gold in Austialia. Tho Lord William Bentinck was advertised to sail for Auckland on the Ist of August. The John Wesley was also likely to awl m the course of that month.
