Porus it a dark brown, 16 hands high, 5 years, old, has a good temper and an excellent constitution ; he is by Septimus out of Camilla by Cameilon, her dam a Hector mare. Camilla was also the dam of IJany Loroquer and Commissioner, both winneis, and she won a maiden plate at two yeais old. Porus stood one soason al the Pateison, N.S.W., and the stock of his get was pronounced to be fully equal to the stock of the imported horse Young Cainol. Porus is unquestionably the best horse in this Province, to cross with heavy mates to get what is termed a horse of all works, suitable for either the cart, plough or saddle ; with light mares, to get a, good, quiet, neat hack ; or with racing males, to insuie size, as well as strength and speed.
