The Mills.—Messrs. Barker and Co.: The wheat brought to nuiket this week lias been of inconsiderable amount; the price hai ranged from Bs. to 10s according to quality. A reduction of £l per ton has'taken place in flour, prc»ent prices Being for fine £23 for second £11 per ton of 2000 lbs; bran lOd. to 1 Id. per biuhel. Salt Provisions.—Bacon and ham, of good quility are in demand at fiom 4jd. to 7d per lb. Smokert mutton bams, 'is. each. Pickled pork, a very fine sample from' the McLety, finds a lapid sale at from flfli, to 755. per barrel of 20« lbs. Beef, in tieices of 336 lbs. 40s. to 50s.
CATTLk &c, for Slaughtek.—Every description of stock has been ot veiy scanty supply this week, and at present there is not a lot of good sheep in the maiket. The following talet have been made this week :-40 head of cattle, at 42g. per head; 180 .it 255. t.d ; 70 at 55*: 05 at 635; and SO at 675. 6A; 1201) sheep at it. per head, and 600 at 10s; calves are selling at from Ids. lo 20s. accoidiug to quality; and lambs at about U. each; pigs are in rimnand at last quotations, Of flora 2d perlb. for fat tolb. for small
and heavy, 3$ per ihop pigs. Forage.—The qnotatious at the market are—Hay, £2 15». to £3 It's and straw £'l' per ton ; green food, Bd. per doien bundles. Horses.—All sorts of useful horses are demanded, especially those fit for harness. Very few, however, have been offered for sale this week. Mi. Stcwait has sold 20 head—l at £15,1 « £14, 6 at £10. and 13 at puces varying from £9 down to £<t. Mr. Armstiong reports the sale of 35 head of horie stock :—3 saddle horses, at an avenge of £11 the highest being £>5; 5, an avei age of £<i. TJie sale of thorough-bred marei. (25), showed there is little demand for that deseiiption of stock lit present, the highest price given being £16. The demand for good cart .aj£ harness hoises has been greater than usual daring the wejß^ Scaicely any offeied. Good saddle hoise* -would meet *&&i ready sale. *^k.
