The harbour of Roan KVtty is in latitude 652 north, and long. 158 24 east. The harbour of A-ceusio,*. being very indifferently laid down, and a great many leels extend to the noitheastol the island, 40 miles long, A very extensive leef, about S© miles long, in lat, 721 nor' h. and long. 156 30, or thereabouts — this leef the ship Isabella was lost upon, hound to Manila, in 184 L The latitude was observed on the leef. The Rnven Islands, a very good place of supply, discovered in 1841. Resident, John M'Vea, Offiey, ship. Island disc vcred by Captain Grimes, iv the Jean, 1841, lat. 9" 10 north, and long 145 43 east, and about six miles in circumference. A shoal seen by the Munford, schooner, beaiing S. by VV. \ W., distance IS miles from Velthoue'-. 14aisd. Sarah Scott, bound lo Manilla, saw a shoal, the southernmost of the Deliver -nee Islands, bearing W. by S Latitude of the shoal by account and by the i.sandss ands 10 45 south, and longitude by the chronometer IG3 12 east. A reef discovered by the Cyrus, of London, 1843, lat. 8*43 tioith, and long iu*4o east, bearing S. W. by W. of the London leef, distance 90 miles, five mi es in extent. Also, a shoal m lat. 738 north, and long. 112 cist, Als^j, a bank in lat- 7*42 noith,and long 111-37 east, the least water being seven fathoms. Also, a continna'ion of breakers from the George to the Abercrombie Shoals. A reef discovered by the ship Thomas Dickenson, July 26th, 1842. Position— lat. 2132 south, long. 168 54 30 west; it appeared about two ships' lengths, N.K and S-VV., the night being dark at the time, and blowing a gale of wind, very narrowly escaped wreckA reef discovered by FJ.M.
