EVANGELICAL ALLIANCE.

LECTURE. THE Third of the series of Lectures on the Evils of Intemperance, by Ministers of the Evangelical Alliance, in Auckland, will be delivered (D.V.) in the Presbyterian Church, on Tuesday Evening first, at 7 o'clock, by The Rev. A. Macdonald ; Subject : — Intemperance as it affects the Sabbath. A collection will be made at the close of the Lecture, to defray incidental expenses. August 26th, 1851.

THE AUCKLAND PROJECTED LAND ASSOCIATION.

PURSUANT to a Resolution passed by the Preliminary Committee of the above, on Thursday evening last, the public are hereby informed that the adjourned Meeting, held at the White Hart Hotel, on the 13th instant, will assemble again on Thursday evening, August 28th, at the Mechanics' Institute, at half-past 7 o'clock. At which the draft of Rules and Regulations, which have been prepared for the future government of the above Association, will he submitted either for approval or amend-

ment. All who take an interest in this movement, and are willing to lend their assistance to help it forward — likewise those who wish to partake of the benefits it is likely to confer — are invited to attend the Meeting. On behalf of the Committee, Wm. Griffin, Chairman. August 25th, ISSI.
