TO CORRESPONDENTS.
Wic cannot except " J. II." and " Mentor" from tlie opei.ition of our general mleoirequiring to be inioimed of the names of coirespondents, as a condition of inseiU m* their communications. it may answer the end of the former, however, if we state that he wishes to Crill the attention of the Police to the annoying mid dangerous practice of discharging squibs and crackers in the sticts; and of the latter, it we intimate thai the Groceis who close at 7 o'clock on other evenings, do keep open to a later hour on Satuiday nights. Let us at the same time suggest, that those who desire (us we aie sure our correspondent does) to promote the just and benevolent Early Closing Movement, may attain the object better by considering how early they cm give their orders, than how late they can have them executed. Other communications are under consideration.
