RANSOMES AND MAY, Ipswich, England, Patentees and Manufacturers of Agricultural Implements and Machineiy, invite the attention of Agricultural Settlers and others, in the Auckland, New Plymouth, Canterbury and Otago Settlements, and the Australiau Colonies generally, to their Patent Wi ought Iron Trussed Beam Ploughs, their Harrows, Cultivators, and Scanh'cers, Dragrakes, Mills and Crushers, Thrashing, Winnowing and Dressing Machines, Patent new Seed-dropper, &c. They also supply Scotch Carts fitted with poles for oxen, or chains, yokes and bows, cart-wheels and axles j iron ditto for barrows, horse gear for driving machineiy, iron rails for tramways, garden tools, scythes, sickles, iron pig troughs, &c. Many of the above are expressly adapted to Colonists' use, and are packed in as small a compass as possible, to save freight and inland transport charges. Rather than refer at length to the numerous honorary distinctions which have been confened on them by the Royal Agricultural and Provincial Societies in the mother country, as testimonies to the material, style of workmanship, and adaptation and capabilities of their implements, R. & M. would content themselves with asking Colonists to form their judgment by inquiries among their own neighbours, or a personal inspection of those which are already in use in the Colony. i All orders from the Colonies must be accompanied by a remittance, or reference to some mercantile house in England for payment.

Ten drops are equal to eight grains of the Powder, and may be taken in water, tea, wine, &c. This preparation is particularly beneficial in relieving Cramp, Spasm, Flatulency, Pain and Oppression after Meals, and in restoring the tone of the Stomach.
