Monthly sale at New Market on the Second Tuesday of every Month. Quarterly Sale at Otahuhu on the first Wednesday in the Quarter, commencing with June. Stock kept at fixed charges in his Remuera Paddocks. Orders left with Mr. Thomas Somerville, Shortland-street will be forwarded.

LAND FOR SALE AT REMUERA.
MR. J. NEWMAN has received instructions from Mr. Joseph Robinson, to offer by private contract, several choice Allotments of Land, from 3 acres and upwards. Parties requiring a Country Residence, with easy access to town, will find this a desirable investment. The whole block would make a nice farm, and will be offered on much lower terms than the subdivisions.
MR. J, NEWMAN is instructed by Mr. Clark, to offer for sale by private contract, an Allotment ot Land containing 28 Acres, advantageously situated within 3 miles of Auckland, with a frontage to a Creek opening into Shoal Bay, sufficiently deep to float a 5 tons boat at half tide ; there is an excellent Wharf which cost £40 or £50 and may serve at a future period for a Steam Boat, (this benig the key to the fertile district of Wangari,) the greater part of the land is a fine deep alluvial soil. Price very moderate, the proprietor having embarked in a new enterprise.
GRASS PADDOCK AT EPSOM.
r ENDER3 will be received until the 7th " June next from parties desirous to rent for a term of seven years, the Paddock, containing eight acies laid down in Grass, and recently in the possession of Mr. Robert Stow, at Epsom. Tenders to be addressed to Tnos. Outiiwaite, Esq., stating the amount of rent per annum which will be given. Auckland, 23rd May, 1851.

HPHE Committee of Management of this 1 Institution have much pleasure in infoiming the Members and the Public generally, that;
M. WHYTLAW, ESQ., has kindly consented to read a paper in the Hall of the Institution, illustrative of his experiments on

exhibiting at the same time, A working Model of the Machine invented by him, for senerating the fibre from the leaf. The Committee sensible of the great importance of the subject, believing it indeed to be one which is essentially connected with the advancement of the Colony, and therefore desiious to afford all members of the community an opportunity of attending Mr. Whytlaw's exposition ; to secure this object they have prevailed upon him to repeat the reading of his paper on two occasions, viz., on Wednesday next, 4th prox., at 2 o'clock in the afternoon— and on the following Friday evening, at 8 o'clock. N.B.— Members of the Institution may be requested by the door-keeper to produce their Caid for the last Quarter (No. 6). Admition to the Public by Tickets, as usual, to be obtained from Mr. Williamson " New Zealander" office, Mr. T S. Forsaitii, Short-land-street, Mr. Hay, builder, Parnell, or of the Honorary Secretary, Mr. Hansard, Short-land-atieet.
