Fine clear Cloudy Showery MVet days. days. dayi>. oays. 12 1 18 0 Rain fell heavily on part of the third day of this month, (terminating our summer, and introducing what may be styled our trcond spiing), and rain fell on every day after, except three, until the 21st. From the 22nd to the 29th inclusive, the days were all fine. The two last days of the month were showery. Five of the showery days were tery squally, and the showers very heavy; but on several other days theshoweis were very slight, or fell during the night, and the days were very pleasant. Lightning was seen on five nights, and thunder heard on three days of this month. In the corresponding month of the previous year, there were sixtern fine clenr days, two clear days with high wind, two cloudy days, ten showery and one wet day. Temperature.— .The highest range of the Thermometer observed during this month before sunrise was 66 ° the lowest 46 °.; the highest, about 1 p.m., 80 ° the lowest, at the same hour, 66 ° . R. B. L.
