The William Hyde, for London, has now nearly \ completed her loading, and having all her supplies on board, will be ready for sea on Monday, hue has shipped a quantity of wool and copper ore at this P °Tlie Rosalind, for San Francisco, is expected to come down the river to-day, from Kauri Point, where •he has been taking in sawn timber, to complete her cargo, and will sail on Tuesday or Wednesday next. She calls at Tahiti first, to which island she belong •. The Cresswell, Captain Williams, is expected to sail to-day for the Southern settlements. After discharging her cargo and passengers at Otago, Coptnin Williams intends proceeding to China. This fine vessel is the property of Messrs. Willis & Co., of London, and is to be continued a» a regular trader to this port. It affords us much pleasure to give publicity to the following testimonials presented to Captain Williams by the merchants of Auckland, for the quick despatch he has giveu the landing of hia cargo, and by hii pnsiengers for his attentive kindness to them during the voyage out.

Dear Sir, We, the undermentioned merchants and others, of the port of Auckland, beg to avail of this opportunity of expressing to you our best acknowledgments for the admirable manner in which you hare discharged, and the excellent Older in which yon have delivered that portion of the cargo of the Cresswell consigned to this port. We are well aware that with an assorted cargo, such as that on board the vessel under your command, with portions destined for so many difffient ports, the labour of breaking out particular packages, turning over Biid re-stowing others, is very great, and that we cannot yet boast of the be6t means of giving that ready despatch, both to inward and outward bound vessels, we so greatly desire to do. We therefore feel ourselves more urgently called upon to convey to you our unqualified thanks for, and spprovnl of the ready and indefatigable manner in which you have overcome these difficulties, also, for the continued care and attention you and your officers have taken in seeing to the proper stowage, safe conveyance, and prompt delivery of the goods you have now landed here. We congratulate you also on being the first to dis. charge 10 large a quantity of Assorted Goods nt this Port in so short a time ; and, while we thank you for the example which, by your exertions, you have set for others to follow, we beg also to assure you of the bigh esteem with which we regard them, and of the great pleasure it shall always afford us to have the transport of our goods, on any subsequent occasion, committed to your care. And while we congratulate you on the successful issue of your labours in port, we beg also to do so on the harmony which, we are giatified to learn, existed between yout passengers, and the excellent discipline maintained among your crew on the passage out from London. All these increase our confidence in your abilities and management, which, we trust will ever meet their due appreciation and reward.
