'23, Victoria Government Brig, Deck, for Nelson ; 25, Lady Clarke, ship, for Sydney ; 28, Preseverance, brig, for Port Victoria Feb. 3 Louu and Vliriam, brig, for Sydney; 4, Torrinaon. brig, for Port Victoria, ; 8, Lord William Bentinck, ship for London. The Ameriiau Ship Orion, from thii port arrived at San Franciiro after a passage of 70 days. The potatoes she shipped here were iv excellent condition, and met with a ready sale, realized from 6d. to 7d. per lb. The cargo having been well assorted, had arrived op portunely, as trade was rather brisk, and the markets offend remunerating prices.— Wellington Independent Jan. 25. The schooner Ti ftn 150 tons, Captain Craib, arrived here via Otasjo and Port Cooper on the 3rd imt., having sailed trum London about the ?ih September last. She made a very loug pmsage to the Cape, where she stayed a fortnight, but her run from there

to Otago was very quick, and she completed the whole distance in four months. The Titan is an iron built vessel, postering great sailing capabilities, arid should she be for '.ale would prove i valuable acquisition as a means of communication between the d Herrnt settlemtnts in New Zealand ; since from her build it would require but a trifling exppnse and also but a short time to convert her into a steamer. —l 6.
