The Lady Harvey touched at Tahiti on her passage from San Francisco, from whence she sailed on the 6th December. The barque Fair Tasmania, Eilis, master, ninety three clays from Hobart Town, and the brig Maid of Erin, eighty days from the same port, had arrived at San Francisco, the former on the 29th and the latter on the bOih November. The three masted schooner Osprey sailed for Hobart Town on the 29ib November. The Lightning has had a fine run of fourteen days from Tahiti, and but for being two days becalmed would have done it in twelve, Uaving taken cargo from Hono. lulu to Tahiti, shebnngs no Jarer new» from the former poit or from San Francisco. She reports the Johnston, Capt. Hamaon, having sailed from Tahiti for Sydney on 14 tli January. The Lightning is one of the celebrated models of Mr. White of Cowes, the builder of the John Wesley, and has on severul occasions shewn herself worthy of Mr. White's name, having recently accomplished the voyage from Valparaiso to San Francisco in 49 days. She loadi with produce and returns to that port immediately. The barque Camilla, Capt. Pugh, sailed yesterday for Canterbury, with firewood <»nd timber ; from thence she proceeds to Guam. The Barbara Gordon has proceeded to Waiheki, to load firewood for Valparaiio. The Vivid, reports the Ralph Bernal, from Sydney for California, having touched at Mongunui, where she discharged twenty tons coal, and took on board between thirty and forty tons of potatoes and onioni. She sailed again for San Francisco on Monday last. There was one American whaler in the port of Monganui when the Vivid left.
