ELEVENTH RACE. Prize £10. ~ Entrance £1 Is. For Square Sterned Boats, not exceeding 25 feet keel, and pulling four oars. Same course as seventh race.
The decision of the Umpire to be final on all points. Any attempt at fouling to disqualify any boat that may practice it. Each boat to carry a distinguishing flag during the entire race, and no boat to be allowed to take in or throw out ballast during the race. The Committee have the power of postponing the Regatta, in the event of the weather proving unfavourable. Should postponement be necessaiy, two guns will be fired from the flag ship, and a single flag will be shown at the main, at 9, a.m., of the 29th.
When a race starts a ball will be hoisted at the mizen topmast head of the Flag Ship ; when a race comes in it will be lowered. The number cf the race will be signalled by Marryatt's code at the fore royal -mast head, and kept flying till the boat comes in.

A SOIREE OF the Members of the Auckland Mechanics' Institutk and their Friends, will be held, in the Hall of the Institution, on Wednesday, the sth proximo, By the kind permission of Lieut-Colonel Wynyard, the Band of H.M. 58th Regiment will attend. Tickets of Admission — Double, 2s. 6d., single Is. 6'd. — to be obtained at Mr. Williamsons, Mr. Boylan's, Queen- street, and of the Honorary Secretary, Lower Queen-street.
