A. B.s letter was in type ; but the gratifying contradiction of the " rumour " which we are enabled to give on the highest authority, renders Its publication obviously unnecessary. If we set our valued correspondent's letter aside, it is only in company with a leading article of our own— both now happily placed out of date. The same answer, mutatis mutandis, will apply to •' An Aucklandcr's" meritorious poetic.il communication, and to the letter of our esteemed correspondent X (Kawau).
