EDUCATION.

MRS. TUCKER REQUESTS to inform her friends, that in compliance with their kind solicitations, she will resume the duties of her Establishment at Woodland Villa, Auckland, on the Ist of October, Mrs. Tucker pledges herself, that the most unremitting exertions, and undivided attention, shall be given to the instruction and care of a select and limited number of young ladies — boarders and day-pupils— and hopes she may secure the same liberal suppoit with which, for so many years, she has been favored. The course of Tuition comprises : — English in its various branches, Fiench, Music, and Drawing. Teims Moderate. No Vacation. Woodland Villa, Sept. 21, 1850.

AUCKLAND ACADEMY.

JGORUIE respectfully intimates that , the Fourth Quaiter of the Session will commence on Monday next, the 30th instant. Branches taught — English Reading and G laminar, Writing, Arithmetic, Geography, (with the use of maps and globes), Mathematics, Latin, Greek, &c. Hours of attendance from 10 to 1, and from 2 to 4 o'clock. Sept. 24th, 1850.

NOTICE,

ALL Persons having any claim against the late Firm of Gardiner and Brown, Boat builders, Bay of Islands, are hereby requested to forward the same to Mr. Brown for liquidation ; and those indebted to said Firm will please settle their accounts without delay, — in onfer that a balance of affairs may be made, consequent on the decease of Mr. Gardiner.

W. Brown begs to intimate that he will carry on the business at Wahapu, as formerly ; and hopes that, by using the best material, and by strict attention to the proper execution of the work, he will give entire satisfaction to those who may favor him with their orders. Bay of Islands, Sept. 17, 1850.
