May 28, barque Colonist j May 28, barque Gloucester ; June 2, ship Johmtone ; June 5, barque Reaper ; June 22, brig Two Friends; June 27, ship Commodore; also the Hamlet, Josephine, Sir John Franklin, Noble, Lallah Iloolth and Spec, arrived previous to the sailing of the Daniel Webster. The barque Colonist wan to sail for Sydney, to take in a cargo of coal for the San Francisco market, on the 26th of June. Scr/.uRE or a British Ship.—By the brig Orbet, from I'uget's Sound, Oregon, we learn that the ship dllrinn, of London, has been seized by General Dorr, on the part of the American Government, for smuggling and cutting timber on the United States posse** nions. This vessel, we unumtand, is under charter by the British Government—the timber being for the use of the Nuvy.—Alta California, May 28.
