NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENTS.
We thank "Colonist," but decline the insertion of his kind letter, because we have made up our mind to take no notice, for the present, of the vituperation heaped upon us from the quarter to which he refers. It has already—if not made us new friends —yet developed so many friendly and honourable feelings towards us, the existence of which we perhaps might not otherwise have known, that, for ourselves, we can desire nothing better than that it may be con. tinued, and continued without any diminution in its personality or bitterness. The foregoing Notice will, we hope, be understood by several other fiiendly correspondents, (who have written to us recently,) as applying to them also. But, it is due to ourselves to say to them that, we could not feel otherwise than both gratified and grateful when we received their communications. Some of their suggestions, and especially some of their state ments of facts, may one day be of great value to us. But we " bide our time."
