BYE LAWS AND NOTICES FOR THE HUNDRED OF ONEHUNGA.

WHEREAS it appears to the Wardens of Onehunga that the Regulations issued by them for depastuiing the Crown Waste Lands therein dcsciibed cannot be satisfactorily enforced without a knowledge of the stock, their description and brands, which belong to licensed persons (very few of whom have made to them any return), they deem it now needful to issue the following Notice and Bye Laws, to enable them to exact the required information. Bye Laws : 1. That all persons whose names appear in the published list as holders of licenses for the hundred of Onehunga shall make a correct return of their stock in writing to the Wardens of said hundred, and according to the following Schedule, within (35) thirty-five days after publication hereof in the Government Gazette, under penalty of (20) twenty shillings. 2. Allpersons holding a Depasturing License, upon a demand made in writing by any two of the Wardens of said hundred — (on any day to he fixed by said person or persons to whom such demand be issued not exceeding (7) seven days from time of such demand) — shall muster, or cause to be mustered, in his or their stockyard, or other convenient paddock for that purpose, all such stock to him or them belonging as are depastured, or may be depastured, on any of the Waste lands of said hundred, to the intent and purpose that the said stock be examined by some one of said Wardens or other person thereto deputed by any two of them, under penalty of (20) twenty shillings, payable for .each refusal or neglect theieof. Provided that such person or persons shall not be made to comply with such demand more than once 'in every three months. 3. That any or all stock, the property of licensed persons, prohibited from depasturing on the Northern portion of the hundred of Onehunga, or authorized depasturing stock unhranded, or the brands whereof have not been registered as required, or on which the assessment or assessments made have not been duly paid, shall be impounded and pay a fine of one shilling and sixpence per head on each impounding to the funds of the hundred, in addition to such pound fees and charges payable in such pound wheresoever they may be impounded. ■ James Magi*. ] Wal . aens of Schedule for Return of Brands of Stock. Magee ; and fiom the said road westward by Mr. Thomas Somerville ; and that all matters connected with correspondence, notices, registering, &c, will be specially attended to by Mr. William Powditch,at his residence, Epsom Road.
