PUBLIC NOTICE. THE Inhabitants of Auckland are respectfully informed that the undersigned Linen Drapers have unanimously consented to close their shops at Seven o'clock throughout the year — Saturday nights exceptcd. The moral and physical advantages to be derived from the adoption of the above plan, it is anticipated, will be sufficient grounds to ensure the cooperation of the Inhabitants, which is only to be done by a system of early shopping. It has been deemed necessary to make this public announcement in order that individuals intending to make purchases should not be disappointed by finding the shops closed at the above hour. It is moreover hoped thai tbe inhabitants of Auckland will endeavour to assist in so commendable a resolution by making their purchases as early as possible during the day, when every attention will be paid to their demands. NOTICE is hereby given, that by Deed of conveyance and assignment of this date, Mr. W. Clayton Hayes, of Auckland, Grocer, has transferred all his Estate and Effects to Mr. J. Macky and Mr. Thomas Lewis, of Auckland, merchants, for the benefit of such of his creditors residing in New Zealand, who shall execute the said deed within ten days ; and such of his creditors residing elsewhere, who shall execute the same within two months from the date hereof.
