The terms for Pupils entering this Institution, are as follows :—: — For Young Gentlemen, Boarders, (To be instructed in Writing, English Heading, Composition and Style, Elocution, Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Geography, History, the Elements of Natural Philosophy, and Bookkeeping.) Eight weeks' vacation will be given at the close of the year, fiom about the first week in November, to the first week in January ensuing. The quarter-days will, in consequence, fall on Jan. 1, March 15, June 1, and Aug. 15, of each year. Payments to be made quarterly in advance, and three months' notice required before the removal of a Pupil. It is believed (hat the arrangements for receiving Boarders will be found very satisfactory. In order, however, to make them quite complete, the Principal is authorised to obtain at once from England, a Lady of competent and approved experience for the Female department. It has also been resolved to procure immediately, if possible, Philosophical apparatus, so essential to elementary instruction in physical science, and to the demonstration of even the commonest natural phenomena. In respect to the Domestic comfort of the Pupils, we do not of course promise luxury and indulgence. This would only be to promise education in effeminacy and extravagance, in no case more absurd than in a comparatively recent colony, where especially so much is dependant on individual tact and effort, and where, above all places in the world, the way to competence or wealth lies far removed from "the Castle of Indolence." We do engage, however, by all available means to furnish a home of comfort and enjoyment, and yet one which shall be throughout every part educational — supplying in the play-ground and the dining-room, as elsewhere, systematic encouragement to habits of politeness, candour, and generosity, of exactness, self-reliance, earnestness, and reverence for sacred things. Whoever may be the pupils entrusted to us, we -will diligently prepare them for taking their place in this present world ; and, God forbid that we should forget their concern with the world which is to come !
